Welcome to Compassionate St. Augustine! As the Executive Director and Vice President of the board, I bring a deeply personal commitment to our mission of serving the community. Having experienced a life-altering car accident that left me paralyzed from the neck down, I defied the odds through prayer, perseverance, and years of physical therapy to reclaim my mobility. With a background in psychology and a passion for advocacy, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting individuals with disabilities, serving as a Nursing Home Transition Coordinator and educator for students with special needs. As a volunteer Peer Mentor for The Florida Traumatic Brain and Spinal Cord Injury, I guide others through their own journeys of recovery, while my books “The Doctor Said” and “Unbroken Spirit” inspire and uplift those facing adversity. Recognized with awards such as the Positively Jax Award and the Woman of the Year Award, I continue advocating for inclusivity and empowerment, embodying the resilience and compassion that defines Compassionate St. Augustine.
